Who can apply
- International applicants: Aramco "generally" looks for five to ten years of applicable experience.
- Fields include engineering, geosciences, drilling, research and development, education, finance and law. Membership of professional associations helps.
- Saudi nationals apply on the separate Saudi track; "experienced" there means more than three years of work.
- Fresh graduates from Pakistan are not the usual intake for the international track — check each posting.
Documents to keep ready
- A resume or CV.
- Aramco's "Application for Employment", which standardises the information it needs. Aramco says sending it with your CV can shorten the wait for a reply.
- Later, if you get an offer: a medical exam, background checks and the documents for your visa and residence permit, which Aramco arranges.
Step by step
- Pick your regional job board. From aramco.com/careers → For international applicants, open the job board for your region on careers.aramco.com (Africa, Asia Pacific and Europe, or the Americas). Pakistan applicants use the non-US board unless the posting says otherwise.
- Create your Applicant Profile. Use the Applicant Profile link to create an account. Add your CV and complete the Application for Employment.
- Search and set an alert. Search by field or keyword. Use "Create Alert" to get new matching jobs by email every few days.
- Interview. Shortlisted candidates are interviewed in London, Houston or Singapore, at recruitment events, or remotely by video.
- Conditional offer. A successful candidate receives a written conditional offer of employment.
- Relocation. A Relocation Advisor guides you through the medical exam, background checks and the visa, which Aramco arranges with the Saudi consulate. Then a pre-departure orientation and arrival at Dammam.
Fees
Common mistakes
Our advice, from how these applications usually go wrong:
- Answering emails from look-alike domains that ask for a "processing" or "visa" fee.
- Paying an immigration consultant who claims an Aramco link — Aramco says it has no affiliation with such firms.
- Applying with a CV only and skipping the Application for Employment.
- Applying for senior roles without the five-plus years of experience the international track expects.
Deadlines
- Aramco does not publish one recruitment calendar; roles appear on the job boards over the year. Set a job alert rather than waiting for an "intake".
- Keep your profile current so it is ready when a role opens.
